Digital Marketing Resources
Welcome to this page of FREE digital marketing resources. This is by no means a comprehensive list, but it does give you a good head start. If you just experienced the fire hose that was my digital marketing seminar, I hope this helps.

Social Media for Writers
Social media is good for writers, right? Right? Well, it can be, or it can become the bane of your existence and the biggest enabler of procrastination.
How do you handle it? What platforms should you be on? Here is some advice on all of them from Dave Chesson and Kindlepreneur. Check it out using the button below!
Building Your Email List
You need the right tools to build your email list. But what are they? How do they work? What do they cost? Which one is best?
As someone who is Mailerlite certified, I have my favorite, but I make a good comparison for you here, so check out the post and use it to find out what works best for you and your goals.
Check out the review post here.
Need help with Mailerlite? I can help you make the most of your email software, and I’m MailerLite certified. Click here to learn more.
There are many ways you can grow your email list, but you can also use it to get more reviews. Here is a post about how to do just that using an author tool called Story Origin.
You’ll learn how I did it, and how you can, too. This is one of the many reasons to build a powerful email list and keep it active.
I use two programs for Keyword research, and each has its own features and advantages. K-Lytics is greater for keyword and category research to spot trends.
Publisher Rocket is great for keyword research on the spot, as far as what Amazon looks like right now. Check out both, and if you have to choose just one, go for Publisher Rocket.
Facebook ads can be – well, tricky. There are those people who help you figure them out (but your journey will never be complete). Here is a great resource by a friend and Facebook ads genius Mal Copper.
Mal also has courses on the topic, and while spendy, I can’t recommend the Self Publishing Formula by Mark Dawson enough either.
But before you go there, start here with Mal’s great book and with one of her Facebook ad courses.
Ah, Amazon. We love them, we hate them, and we give them our ad dollars so we can keep selling books. That’s right, the bane of our existence can be explained.
And your Amazon ads can do better than they do now. Start with Bryan Cohen (great guy, and smart too) and his FREE quarterly Amazon Ad challenge. And if you want to go deeper, try Amazon ad school.
A BookBub featured deal is the holy grail. BookBub ads also can have a huge impact on your business. But you need to know how they work, how to bid, and how to test various aspects of your ads.
David Gaughran has your answers to that and more. You can grab just his BookBub Expert book, but I highly recommend just grabbing the whole “Let’s Get Published” series. It’s affordable and invaluable advice.
Promo Sites and Promo Stacking
And once again, David comes through, this time with another FREE resource. This is a list of various promo sites that work, and how to use them.
Stacking promos is a great tactic and something you can learn about and use to have more successful sales and freebie times.
Did I miss something? Do you have other resources I should add? Let me know by contacting me or email them to info [at] troylambertwrites.com and I’ll add them to the list.
Best of luck with your digital marketing and keep learning!
